WLEA Homeland Security Training Program
In August 2003 the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy was officially awarded grant funding from the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security to establish WMD awareness level training curriculum for first responders. Further stipulations of the grant required the Academy to act as the State point of contact for all the Office of Domestic Preparedness consortium training courses, conduct a statewide inventory of all first responder WMD training regardless of provider and establish recommendations towards the creation of a statewide database containing information that would allow the state to access information on first responders, training qualifications and specialized skills. |
